  • Awesome local coffee shop! Can't recommend them enough! They recently moved down the street to a bigger space, with more seating. The drink choices are amazing! The staff are friendly! The atmosphere is very relaxing.

  • I'm guessing the owners are heavily religious, but they aren't proselytizing about it, so that's cool. Good coffee made by hand (and you can tell because ever so rarely there's a burned shot)

  • Like Starbucks only better. It's the opposite of a corporate coffee place. It's an odd shaped place, long and skinny. There's a little seating downstairs and a very nice, comfy, seating area upstairs. There's a little "lending library" upstairs - I don't think it's only for decoration. There's a bathroom upstairs. So you don't have to go downstairs if the coffee fills your bladder. (I'm not sure taking the lending books to the bathroom would be acceptable.) As a dude, I hate to say things like "it's a really cute place!". But it is. The barista's were very nice. And the frou-frou coffee I got (The Southern Comfort if I recall) was very good. Definitely a go-to, and return-to place. It makes me sad to say this, but I have to drop a star from my review. The Grind relocated. They're no longer in the quirky building with the comfy upstairs. They're in a fancy new construction WITH A DRIVE THROUGH! Great, now folks can grab their coffee without physical effort or much interaction with other folks. Promoting obesity and loneliness one customer (or carload of customers) at a time. It used to feel like a Starbucks alternative. Now it feels like a Starbucks imitation. And frankly, I think the staff went down too. At the old location, I would have told you I thought the staff were awesome. On my last two visits - at the new location - I found the staff to be uninterested, even approaching surly. I don't know if the staff changed with the location. Maybe it's because I went on a Saturday when most previous visits were on weekdays in the late afternoon. Anyway, it makes me sad that I'm no longer enjoying The Grind as much.
